The UN - An Insider’s Perspective
Robert Pollock who went to school in Cirencester will give an illustrated talk on the UN. From 2006-08 he was an adviser and speech-writer to two Presidents of the UN General Assembly. His speeches were concerned with the Millennium Development Goals, UN reform and climate change at a time when climate change became a dominant political issue.
Robert will share a unique insight into the workings and some of the high profile personalities of the UN and address some of the major issues to come before the General Assembly.
Everyone welcome. Refreshments. Collection to cover expenses.
