Our next Open Meeting on Monday 11th October, 7.30pm at the Bingham Suite, Dyer St. Cirencester.

The UN - An Insider’s Perspective

Robert Pollock who went to school in Cirencester will give an illustrated talk on the UN.  From 2006-08 he was an adviser and speech-writer to two Presidents of the UN General Assembly. His speeches were concerned with the Millennium Development Goals, UN reform and climate change at a time when climate change became a dominant political issue.

Robert will share a unique insight into the workings and some of the high profile personalities of the UN and address some of the major issues to come before the General Assembly.
