The long-awaited re-awakening of the Cirencester Science and Technology Society!The first CSTS Zoom lecture will be held this Wednesday 9th September at 7:30pm, keeping to the usual date and time. The talk is entitled: 'Radio Telescopes: How they work and what they can do', presented by our member Dr. Michael McEllin, who is well qualified to tell us about them and why they have been in the news in recent months. Other NewsSadly we have to inform you of the death in June of Jo Newbould, a very active member of the Society for many years, in parnership with her husband Palmer. She was an excellent programme secretary from December 2008 to the Summer of 2012, and was greatly invovled in promoting social activities in the Society, particularly visits. |
