Description

What is the 3D Enterprise Centre?

The lead partner,  Wiltshire College,  of the 3D Enterprise Centre has received funding from The Enterprise Network Swindon and Wiltshire as part of a £1m investment to help business centres develop their own facilities for start-up rural businesses.

The Enterprise Network is a £5.2m initiative led by Wiltshire Council with Government and EU funding, is nurturing new and growing small and micro businesses by supporting them right from the first ‘light bulb’ moment.  It has already opened four of its own Enterprise Centres in Wiltshire offering affordable offices, meeting rooms, co-working and networking opportunities alongside free, impartial, business advice.

The 3D Enterprise Centre has been set up with leading industry partners including  NT CADCAM  distributors of the market leading Solidworks CAD (Computer Aided Design) package.

The aim is to help Designers, Innovators, Engineers and entrepreneurs with business ideas get to grips with product development and prototypes in the shortest of timescales and to familiarise them with current design packages.

Reverse engineering is of course possible and may be of use where older vehicles are being restored for example.
