CRT promotes regenerative farming and aims to educate the public on how nature friendly farming can promote the :

- Maintenance
- Improvement
Of the rural landscape and in doing so reverse biodiversity decline and combat climate change.
CRT works in collaboration with tenant farmers to enable them to use nature friendly farming methods, including conservation projects and improving wildlife habitats.
CRT has a range of farms across the UK, some left in legacies, some purchased to save the land from intensive farming.
CRT believes food production, wildlife, employment, economics and development are all essential parts of countryside life. Their farms use a mixture of traditional and innovative methods and monitor the effectiveness of their projects.
Bere Marsh Farm
Is a 92 acre CRT pasture and woodland farm bought in 2020, it is already showing how farming and wildlife can work hand in hand and already attracts many wildlife species, including barn owls.
Our visit to Bere Marsh Farm
During the morning we will have a presentation on the work of the farm, and the principles underlying it, with the opportunity to ask questions.
After lunch we will have a accompanied walk round part of the farm with explanations of the work, the progress we are seeing, and, again, the chance to ask questions of people directly involved in the work.
