Description
NPL is one of the UK's leading science and research facilities. It is a centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate standards, science and technology available. The facilities in Teddington are among the world's most extensive and sophisticated for measurement science.
On 20 May 2014, NPL Open House will give people the chance to explore much of the science that goes on at NPL and the facilities that are used to do it. The date is significant: 20 May is World Metrology Day. It marks the anniversary of the signing of the International Metre Convention in 1875.
We made this visit two years ago and are pleased to be been invited again to such a wide ranging and interesting research organisation.
We will travel by coach from Cirencester Beeches Carpark leaving at about 12 noon and returning about 7.00pm. The coach fare will be £24 per person. There is no charge for entry but I need to have names asap for security reasons.
Please send your cheques payable to ‘CSTS’ to Bunny Lees-Smith at 1 Follyfield, Hankerton, Malmesbury, SN16 9LA
