Description
Do not Miss This Unique Opportunity at Rothamsted Research!
We are excited to offer CSTS members an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to the world's oldest agricultural research institute on October 15th. This expert guided tour gives us privileged access to their cutting-edge research facilities.
You will see their historic sample archives, find out about their work on GM crops and controlled environment experiments, and witness the fascinating insect pest surveillance work. Plus, a chance to ask questions on initiatives such as Rothamsted's remarkable Geescroft Wilderness - the world's longest-running rewilding project. This site has been left untouched since the 1880s when it was converted from arable land, creating an extraordinary natural laboratory that predates the term "rewilding" by over a century!
We will also see Rothamsted Manor (where it all began) and the National Willow Collection being developed for biomass fuels. More details at https://www.rothamsted.ac.uk/about-rothamsted-research
Time is running out! We currently have just a few bookings for our 25 available places, and the closing date is October 1st - that's next week! At only £33.50 including coach travel from Cirencester, this represents exceptional value for such an exclusive experience.
Contact Christine Stevens immediately at to secure your place before it's too late!
These expert-guided visits to research facilities make CSTS membership truly special - don't let this one pass you by.
