Dr Kelly Hemmings is an Associate Professor of Ecology and Agroecosystems at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester. Her specialist areas of teaching and research include plant ecology, natural history, vegetation science, conservation, and habitat classification. In particular, Kelly is interested in the plant communities of ancient woodland, arable land and grassland.
Currently, she is leading the cataloguing and digitisation of the Royal Agricultural University herbarium, a collection spanning the 18th to 21st centuries. This is an important and impactful project for the capture of natural heritage in order to inform future ecological management.
